The lawyers at Mena y Guijón have extensive professional experience in different fields of the law, with special relevance in the tax, commercial, real estate, energy and environmental areas. In addition, they are fluent in English and German.
Mena y Guijón’s lawyers are professionals trained in recognized Chilean law schools. To the foregoing, it is added that some of them work or have worked as law professors, and most of them have postgraduate degrees obtained in prestigious national and foreign universities.

Ricardo Mena is a partner at Mena y Guijón and was sworn in as a lawyer in 1995. He has vast experience advising on mergers and acquisitions of companies, and on energy projects. In addition, he provides advice to national and foreign clients in international transactions; and, in general, in the planning and negotiation of civil and commercial contracts.
In the academic field, Ricardo Mena has taught law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the Universidad Andrés Bello.

Xavier Guijón is a partner at Mena y Guijón and was sworn in as a lawyer in 2004. Currently, he works in the areas of corporate and tax law. In the latter, he advises national and foreign companies, both in matters of investment and operations. Likewise, he assists individuals in planning the structuring of their assets and inheritance issues. He has extensive experience in the field of foreign investment, especially with German and Austrian companies.
On the academic level, Xavier Guijón has been an assistant professor of Tax Law and has been a visiting professor in the Comparative Commercial Law course at the Law School of the University of Chile. Currently, he is a candidate for a Magister in Tax Law at the University of Chile and has a technical degree in foreign trade.
